• Classes take place in training units and modules.

• A class lasts 90 minutes.

• A module consists of several consecutive days of intensive training of 2 to 3 hours with a DansArt teacher from Bielefeld meets Berlin.

After successfully completing three months of DansArt intensive training program, you may have the opportunity to transition into our professional program, pending a review of your performance level.

Dance as a Vocation - Dance as a Professional Stage Dancer

• What is required: Daily physical effort, discipline, flexibility, passion, self-directed learning, creativity within a structured framework, reflection through repetition, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Dance is one of the most ancient and versatile forms of human expression. Through dance, you will come to terms with your body and personality. It demands resilience and unwavering dedication.

• In our professional environment, you will receive comprehensive training that will prepare you physically, mentally, and artistically for the diverse demands of a career as a stage dancer.

Our DansArt professional training program offers various specializations, with distinct emphases each year.

DansArt professional | 1st year training | Dance technique intensive

The inaugural year of training focuses on establishing a solid foundation in various dance styles, prioritizing the development of physical structure and resilience to ensure a healthy, long-term professional career. Through intense daily training, reflection, creation, theory, and healthcare, the program lays the groundwork for success. Crucially, we emphasize artistic expression, convincing stage presence, and - above all - dancing itself. It is essential to us that you gain valuable stage experience from your very first year of training.

DansArt professional | 2nd year | artistic intensive

This phase of training is dedicated to discovering and developing your unique artistic voice, through research, creation, and exploration of dance in a contemporary context. In the second year, we focus on crafting a solo piece to refine and showcase your individual profile. A crucial aspect of this process is the refinement and expansion of your dance technique. Improvisation and partnering skills are essential components of a performing artist's repertoire, and are intensively honed through our modules. During this year, you will hone your stage presence through participation in two distinct performances: a solo presentation and a year-end group choreography showcase.

DansArt professional | 3rd year of training | performance intensive

The third year of training is designed to prepare you for a successful career in dance, building upon the skills and knowledge acquired thus far. Third-year graduates work closely with renowned guest choreographers to develop extended stage pieces, exposing them to diverse styles and approaches that enhance their flexibility and versatility as professionals. The program fosters collaboration with other theaters and educational institutions, providing opportunities for internships, exchanges, and guest performances. Additionally, students are encouraged to share their expertise and pursue a career in teaching and education. A significant aspect of the final year is the preparation for the comprehensive final examination, which covers both practical and theoretical components, as well as the creation of an original final choreography. The culminating graduation performance showcases the graduates' diverse skills, featuring pieces created by invited choreographers.

ENTRANCE EXAMS | AUDITIONS

• Auditions will take place before a panel of esteemed judges.

• Auditions will be held in the following disciplines: Ballet, Modern/Jazz, Contemporary, and Urban.

• Please prepare a solo piece of approximately 1 minute and 30 seconds that highlights your dancing strengths and personal movement style.

• The audition will conclude with a personalized interview, providing an opportunity for us to discuss your qualifications and goals.
